This Josiah Clark has been identified on the LDS Computer File Index with the Josiah born 1730, Dover Neck or Somersworth, New Hampshire, to Josiah Clark and Patience Blackstone. Their descendants lived in the Nobleboro and Damariscotta area of Maine.
He might have been the Josiah Clark, baptized July 1716 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, son of John Clark and Agnes. That Josiah married Mary Moses on 14 January 1748. If this was he, then his married to Sarah Nute, which is sometimes given as 1760, is probably closer to that date.
