Biography

Birth and Parents

Jonas Adams was born in New Hampshire.

Jonas, the youngest of nine children of Ephraim Adams Sr. and Betty Pierce was born on 6 December 1794 at Stoddard, New Hampshire.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Jonas married Betsey M. Davis (1792-1872), the daughter of Isaac and Rachel (Adams) Davis say 1819 at New Hampshire.^[2] They had one child born at Stoddard:

1. Nancy Adams (b. 6 Nov 1820; d. Nov 1903, Concord, NH)^[3][4] m. 3 Feb 1846 at Sullivan, NH, Atwell Comstock Ellis (1821-1894)

Death and Burial

Jonas Adams died on 14 June 1861 in his 66th year at Sullivan.^[5]He is buried in Sullivan Center Cemetery at Sullivan, Cheshire, New Hampshire.^[6]
