Biography

Josiah was a farmer at Mendon, Mass. He died at the age of thirty-seven,a few months before his daughter, Silence, was born. After his death, his wife married (2) John Fish of Mendon and moved to Townshend, Vermont.

In 1792, Deborah Fish was among the first members of the Congregational Church at Townshend; her name is among those who signed the first covenant.

Deborah lived a long life! She died at Townshend at the age of 100.
