An Obituary in Windsor and Richmond Gazette dated 14th July, 1948 reads:
'Mrs. ELIZABETH SALTER
An old and widely respected former Wilberforce resident, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Salter, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Blackmore, at Balgowlah, on July 5, at the age of 89 years.
Deceased, who had lived the greater portion of her life at Wilberforce, was predeceased by her husband, the late Thomas Salter, some 20 years ago, and also by one son, Hubert.
The surviving family are: William, Walter, Archie, Carl, Lily (Mrs. Buttsworth, Wilberforce),Fred, Olive (Mrs. W. Blackmore, Balgowlah) and Hedley.
The remains were laid to rest in the Church of England Cemetery at Wilberforce on the following day, the Rev. Walker officiating." (Buried Right Row 11, Grave 03.)
