Mary (Stewart) Ker was born in Scotland.

Mary White Stewart was born at Ryslaw Farm, Fogo, Berwickshire, Scotland. on 9th October 1923. [1][2]

At the time of her birth the family were living at Ryslaw Farm where her father was employed. She is the daughter of John L Stewart and Jane Burnett. [1]

Mary grew up on various farms in Berwickshire, Scotland. During World War2 Mary joined the Army serving in North Africa. During her time there she met and on 15th July 1944 married Arthur Walter Green in Cairo.[3] She returned to Scotland alone and her first son John was born soon after. Sometime later they were divorced.[3]

Mary White Stewart married Andrew Ker on 15th March 1952 in Kelso.[3]

Mary died in Kelso, Scotland on 3rd August 2012 aged 88 years. She was buried in the Kelso, Rosebank Cemetery on 14th August 2012 after a service in Kelso North Parish Church.[4] [5]
