Biography

John Sinclair was born in about 1779 in Scotland.

John married Elizabeth Dagnia on 25 Mar 1809 at Christ Church in Hunter Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, by licence. Both were 21 or older and of the parish of Liverpool, and neither had been married before; John was a master mariner. Adam Platt (merchant of Liverpool) co-signed the bond. [1] [2]

  6. Peter (chr 7 Sep 1820 St Peter Liverpool - Kent Square, provision merchant)[8]
  7. Frazer (chr 5 Sep 1822 St Peter Liverpool - Old Dock Side, merchant)[9]

By June 6th 1841, they were living in Mill Street, Toxteth Park, Lancashire. [12]

By March 30th 1851, they were living in Toxteth Park, Lancashire. John was a retired ship owner. [13]

John died in 1856 in West Derby district; his age was recorded as 77. [14]
