Runciman-1137 and Runciman-915 appear to represent the same person because: as discussed Mark, although you cannot delete people, you can merge them with their duplicates.
I suggest that you disconnect your newly added John and Elizabeth from being the parents of James married Agnes Herriot and merge them with their already exsting counterparts.
