Biography
Sarah Eugenia Ralph was born on 15 July 1856 in Delaware. She was the daughter of William Ralph and Emma Ellis [1]. She married her husband Thadeus Oram Ellis in 1900, when she was 43 and he was 29 [2]. In a newspaper article announcing her wedding, the writer describes Thadeus as 29 years old who is a corporal in the US army who stands 6'4" tall. The writter decribes Sarah as a 43 year old woman who is "50 inches tall" [3]. Sarah and her husband had no known children. Sarah passed away in 1945 at the age of 88 [4]. She is buried in the same graveyard as her parents (Saint Marks Episcopal Church Cemetery) in Sussex County, Delaware [5].
