Carter Parkerson was born on July 30, 1842 in East Dereham, Norfolk, England to Burrell Parkerson and Emma (Mount) Parkerson.
In 1851, his oldest brothers Burrell and Richard immigrated to New Zealand aboard the ISABELLA HERCUS.[1] Carter and the rest of the family followed, arriving on Oct. 18, 1853 aboard the JOHN TAYLOR.[2]
Carter died on Dec. 12, 1854 and was buried in the family plot at Barbados Cemetery in Christchurch, Christchurch City, Canterbury, New Zealand.[3]
