Biography
Emma Mary Parkerson was born in on Mar. 2, 1836 in Norfolk, England to Burrell Parkerson and Emma (Mount) Parkerson. Norfolk, England, Bishop's Transcripts, 1579-1935 for Emma Mary Parkerson, 2 Mar 1836, 26 Mar 1836, East Dereham, Norfolk, England (Ancestry.com [on-line-database]).
In 1851, his older brothers Burrell and Richard immigrated to New Zealand aboard the ISABELLA HERCUS.[1] William and the rest of the family followed, arriving on Oct. 18, 1853 aboard the JOHN TAYLOR.[2]
She married Strickland S. Field.
Emma died on Mar. 6, 1898 and was buried at Upper Riccarton, Canterbury, New Zealand.
