Birth date varies somewhat depending on source used!

Earliest is abt 1810, which is comparable with husband William's age and comes from her given age at death in 1876, and is consistent with the 30 given in the 1841 census (which could be understated by up to 5 years, due to the rounding enumerators were meant to apply for that census)

Latest is "abt 1820" from her age in the 1851 census

Would love to hear from DNA tested descendants of this family.

A dna match to a descendant of son James to myself ( Lorna and at least two of my "cousins" where the shared ancestry from our side for the segments concerned are James Henderson and Amelia Millar comes the closest we've ever come in 40+ years to cracking the Amelia Millar brickwall. (see category link above)

Research Notes

Although no parents are provided on Isabslla's death cert. (there's no question for them to be provided) the Scottish naming pattern often provides a good hint as to at least their names.

Her first daughter is named Margaret and her second son, James.

As the first son is Robert and 2nd daughter Eliza W, which fits with husband William's parents, it seems highly likely they followed the naming pattern.

How handy that there's a couple of the right first names with a daughter Isabel baptized in Jul 1810 Kippen, Stirlingshire, parents James Neilson and Margaret Strang living at Buchlyvie, where William Millar and Isabella Neilson married in 1840.

And 1810 is one of the many dates derived from other records for Isabella Millar's birth.
