cert #741 shows Jessie McAdie Brotherton married woman, 37, died of typhoid fever of 21 days duration, d/o Robert McAdie, contractor and Ann m.s. Mason. Inf. father Robert, resident Bright, reg. 20th Feb Bright, buried 21st, Bright Cem.christian section. Born Melbourne Vic in Vic 37 yrs, married at age 27 to Herbert William Plantagenent Brotherton 4 issue: Rowena Constance 8; Raymond Robert, dead; Aubrey Wilford 5; Herbert William 4 (Noel adds that a memorial notice the following year gives the date as 18th Feb)[6][4]

Herbert b St Kilda, VIC; Jessie b Melbourne, VIC; Wit: D McAdie and Jessie Buchanan, forms of the Presby Ch at the bride's father's residence.
Marr. notice: BROTHERTON-McADIE.-On the 25th June, at the residence of the bride's parents, Ararat, by the Rev. James Megaw, Herbert William Plantagenet, third surviving son of the late Wm. Plantagenet Brotherton, to Jessie, only daughter of Robert McAdie, of Wick, Scotland. (the preceding notice was Jessie's brother George on the 23rd Jun)[3][8]
