Remarkable Motor Journey.
Mr. Ernest James Malcolm, of Adelaide, accomplished a remarkable motor journey in order to be present at the funeral of his fattier at Wallaroo on, Monday. When the message reached him notifying the death of his -father. Mr. Malcolm was in the country at the back of Port Lincoln, and was about two hours late arriving at Lincoln in his attempt to catch the Wandana bound for Port Adelaide. However, Mr. Malcolm assayed the task of reaching Wallaroo by motor, doing the journey overland via Port Augusta.
He left Lincoln in a Dodge motor car at 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, reached Port Augusta at 10.00a.m. on Monday and arrived at Wallaroo on Monday at 3.05 p.m., just in time for the funeral. The journey covered 318 miles (508 kilometers), and was completed without a stop, excepting for one puncture and a slight engine trouble. The two drivers, Mr. L. Le Brun and Mr. Eric Ridgway, of Port Lincoln, took the wheel in turns, doing 60 miles each, and taking what sleep they could procure in the intervals.
On arrival in Wallaroo the travelers were almost exhausted, but were grateful for having accomplished without mishap what they had sought to do.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that EXECUTOR TRUSTEE AND AGENCY CO. OF S.A. LTD. of 22 Grenfell Street, Adelaide, as Executors of the Will of ERNEST JAMES MALCOLM, deceased, has sold the TAILOR ING BUSINESS of the deceased at 53A Flinders Street Adelaide to Mr. A. J. MALCOLM. as at the 15th August, 1938, who intends to carry on business at the same address under the name of "E. J. MALCOLM."
