OBITUARY
Deep sympathy is expressed by all with Mr & Mrs James Malcolm in the loss of their daughter, Miss Maude Malcolm, which sad event took place on Tuesday morning, after a long illness borne with marvellous fortitude and patience.
Miss Malcolm met with an accident over ten years ago, which Injury after a while necessitated the amputation of her right leg, since which she has been a great sufferer, at times undergoing most painful operations in the hope of being cured, the last being about 6 weeks ago, from which she never really rallied.
The deceased young lady was of a most lovable disposition and interested herself in Church and Sunday School work, having a class of girls under her tuition, and up to the last day before the final operation, was making articles for a bazaar to be held in aid of the Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. Miss Malcolm was born at Wallaroo and leaves a large number of friends.
The funeral will take place this afternoon. The Rev. A. Hamilton Rose will conduct the burial service and Mr F.W.Bird has charge of the funeral arrangements.
