William MacKady was born in 1805 to Robert MacAdie and Margaret Sinclair. He is assumed to have died prior to 1841.

What was William's occupation?

Family are historically farming stock, but his son Sinclair's 1857 marriage cert. shows William as boat carpenter and fisherman. Sinclair's death cert. does not show any parents.

Did William marry?

The 1825 Kirk Session record showing him as denying he was the father of Elisabeth Manson's unborn child specifically states William in Mirelandorn was an unmarried man.[3]
(but by the time his son Sinclair was baptized, he is stated as the father(
William is not the one marrying Joanne Flett, dying 1878 (and not of an age).
nor the William marrying Janet McCurthie, dying 1880 (born 1802, Watten, to George MacAdie and Amey Clark).
