Biography

Roy was born in 1898. He was the son of Drew Howle and Dussie Brannon.

In the 1900 census Sylvan (age 2) was the son of Drewey T Howle in Election Precinct 10 Arbacoochee, Cleburne, Alabama, United States.^[1]

In the 1910 census Roy (age 12) was the single son of Drew T Howle in Justice Precinct 4, McLennan, Texas, United States.^[2]

On September 12, 1918, Roy registered for the draft in Moody, McLennan County, Texas, United States. He was 5'9", of medium build, grey eyes, and light hair. He was working in farmer and named his father as his nearest relative.^[3]

In the 1920 census Roy (age 21) was the single son of Drew Howle in McLennan, Texas, United States.^[4]

Roy married Lottie Lee Farris on 21 February 1923 in McLennan, Texas, United States.^[5]

In the 1930 census Roy (age 32) was the married head of household in Precinct 6, Bosque, Texas, United States.^[6]

In the 1940 census Roy (age 42) was the married head of household in Justice Precinct 4, McLennan, Texas, United States.^[7]

Roy died in Waco, McLennan, Texas on 2 July 1966 and was buried in China Spring Cemetery in China Spring, McLennan, Texas.^{[8] [9]}
