Biography

My birth announcement from the Granville Sentinel. "PERSONAL MENTION. Mrs. Eddie Lee has returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hughes, Factory Street, from the Emma Laing Stevens hospital with her infant daughter, who was born Oct 20. The little Miss has been given the name of Nancy Lee Hill. The father, S.Sgt. Eddie Lee Hill is now serving in the U.S. Army somewhere in Italy." After the war, we moved to Texas where I lived until I was 18. I have since lived in six states and two foreign countries but have now settled in England, close to my Welsh roots.

I can't see how to progress from here. I don't understand the question about my "tag comment", as I have included as much information as I could over the last couple of years. As I am now fully retired, I have a little more time to spend on attempting to make some sense of my family tree, but am unable to add anything to it apparently.

Hello Nancy, thanks for the welcome, some time back. I had to take care of my dying parents and we are just finishing up the estate. Hopefully in a few weeks time I will have much more time for this. As for what time periods and where I am interested in, I have family who were in Wurrtemberg Germany, Many places in Ireland and England in the 1700's and before. Those would be my main points of interest. Also, the Blackfeet reservation in Montana and southern Canada.

I wish everyone close to Lee my deepest condolences. She was such a sweet and great person. She did so much for WikiTree. She will be always in my thoughts.

I will miss her very much. I just hope that her family and close friends will find a way in all good memories of Nancy, just to find power to get through.

A humble, but sincere salute to Lee who enriched me and especially WikiTree by her contributions.

(I am sorry if I made any language or spelling mistakes as English is not my first language. I just hope you will know how much I respected Lee.)

Nancy Lee, Thank you for pointing me at to the Pre-1700's Project Page. I could find nothing of current relevance to the work on the Richards line I am about to do, but I will pass on the resultant information to the Puritan Migration Group, once I sort it all out. It remarkable how surnames vary from generation-to-generation pre-1700: Richards, Rickards, Rickard, Record, etc.
