After the war, Marion moved to East Texas with her husband and small daughter and lived there till her death in 1963. Marion worked hard all her short life. She married, had four children, many friends and probably would never have understood anything that's happened in this world in the fifty plus years since she died. She was a decent woman and had earned the right to a happy old age, sitting on the porch, watching her grandchildren grow up. She didn't get a happy old age. She didn't even get a middle age. She was dead at forty.
Marion died at the age of 41 on September 5th, 1963 in Longview, Gregg, Texas, USA[4] and was buried in Gilmer City Cemetery [5] located in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas, USA.
