Charles Henderson Sr. was born in[1][2]December 1764 in Goose Creek, Loudoun, Virginia, United States, the son of Thomas Hildret Henderson and Mary Frances (McIntire) Henderson. Thomas Henderson and Mary Frances McIntire.

He was the brother of Doug Henderson, Millicent Henderson, Thomas Henderson, Ruth Henderson, Dau Henderson, Millicent Henderson, Sarah Henderson, Mary Ann Henderson, John Henderson, Frances Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson, James Henderson, John Henderson, E Nathan Henderson and Isabel Henderson.

He married [3][4]Elizabeth Edith Montgomery on November 11, 1782 in Montgomery, Wilkes, North Carolina, United States.

Their children were Elizabeth Henderson, James Henderson, Mary (Henderson) Peek, Thomas Henderson, Archibald Henderson, William Montgomery Henderson, James Alexander Henderson, William M Henderson, Charles Henderson Jr., Nathaniel Henderson, Starling Henderson and Canada Henderson Charles died in December 1849 in Chestnut Ridge, Laurens, South Carolina, United States[5].
