Biography

Charles first came to Western Australia per Charles in January from South Australia and departed in July 1841 per Truelove. He later returned as a member of the crew of the HMS Fly and jumped ship. On his first voyage he brought stock from South Australia (800 sheep and 30 horses).[1]

He married Caroline Adams on 15 February 1848 in Fremantle.[2] They had ten children in fifteen years.
