I find our Maness name spelled, Manus, and Magnus so this is where our Scottish roots come from..

Death date/place from the f-a-g creator

I would think because her husband and her son were born in Scotland that she was as well. Sometime before their son was born 1715, they left Scotland to America, North Carolina.

Actually on her birth, et al, documents she is probably known as Mary, because most women back then with the name Mary were nicknamed "Polly" she would be my 3rd g-gramma to be called Polly.
