Hi All, I have just joined WikiTree having been using Ancestry.com for some years.

I searched Catherine Bullen (1799 - 1872) who is my maternal 3rd great grandmother. She was married to Jeremiah James Murphy (1795 - 1851). His mother was Mary Gallwey (1775 - 1825) married to James Joshua Murphy (1769 - 1865 ) - Boy, they like their J's those Murphys!). I don't have any information on her parents. Perhaps someone could help with that.

Happy to share my tree also but not sure how to export it from Ancestry

Hi Journeyman

You can create a GEDCOM file on Ancestry. I would advise to keep it small, as you will need to upload it and go through a GEDCOMpare Report.

For further information on GEDCOMs, see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:GEDCOM

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

You may find it useful to upgrade first. There is no cost. This will allow you to build profiles for your ancestors, if they are not already on WikiTree.

Hi Tim,

Correction, my grandmother was born on [24th] September 1894! (Ref. Limerick register of Births).

I am related to Gallweys only downstream - through Mahony family. Her mother was a Mahony.

Hi Tim, great you're working on Gallweys! Just added obituary for Charlotte Galwey Morphy to her profile. It mentioned her brother > Transcript:

"On 12 January, at her house Mt. Prospect, Charlotte, wife of Jn. Morphy, sister of Christopher Gallwey"

Hi Tim,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Now it's time to pick a project that best fits the pre-1700 profiles you'll be working on.

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Look at the list of active projects to see if one fits your needs.

Once you find a project, visit their project page for more information and to find out how to join. You can also use the Following link to add the project tag to your profile, and you'll get updates on any activity that occurs for that project.

Have questions? We want to help! Click my name above this box, then ask in the comment section of my page.
