Would love to know who this chap is!

To date yDNA testing has brought up NO close matches at all for our tested descendant to give any clues.

Over time we will get more clues from autosomal DNA, but that needs more descendants to have tested - pretty please! Henderson-2297 17:07, 30 September 2016 (EDT)

Research Notes

1. At least two trees on MyHeritage show this chap as an Alexander DAVIDSON, one providing him with 4 additional children with Ann: Janet, Jean, William and Sarah, all born 1820-1831 Midlothian.

Unfortunately, that Ann is a SMITH, not a COLLINS, and they are a mining family from Newbattle, Midlothian.Lorna 18:48, 20 June 2013 (EDT)

1. Of more promise are a couple of Davidson families from Roxburgh, Roxburghshire that are beginning to show up in autosomal DNA matches between descendants, check out the Brickwall Category link, under "Families of interest"
