How wrong could I be showing until now that: " Ann Collins was assumed to have died bef. 1841 prob. in ?Chirnside, BEW, SCT, as she was not obvious (as Collins or Davidson) in the 1841 census"
Ann Collins first appeared as the mother of John Davidson on his 1900 death cert. and there she had remained as a mystery. Henderson-2297 04:49, 29 October 2022 (UTC)
DNA matches of myself, Lorna, my known Davidson /Fairbairn line cousins, and our unexpected newfound closer cousins began showing up with matches to a Colvin(e) family - which looked to be a possible lead to her son John Davidson's origins.
And so it proved.
