Daniel was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, on August 29, 1872. [1]He was the son of James Davison and Margaret Cawley. He was baptized on September 12, 1872, in Liverpool at St Peter.[2] According to the Parish Register [3] Daniel was born August 29, 1872, his parents were James and Margaret residing on Peach Street, Liverpool. His father's occupation "Marble Mason". His father passed away sometime after his baptism. Daniel was enumerated in the 1881 census [4] as an eight year old residing with his widowed mother and two siblings at 23 Walnut Street, Liverpool. Three boarders also at residence. His mother passed away in 1884. He appeared as a lodger residing in the household of John and Mary Jones, 62 Cullin Street, Toxteth Park (Liverpool) in 1891.[5] He stated he was eighteen, single, and a "General Laborer".
Daniel married Florence May Court in 1896.[6] The ceremony was performed on December 25th in Liverpool at Christ Church Kensington. According to the Parish Register, [7] Daniel was a twenty five year old bachelor and "Inspector" (?) residing at 113 Pythman (sic) Street, Liverpool. His father was named as James Davidson (deceased) "Marble Mason". Florence was an eighteen year old spinster residing at same address. Her father was named as William Court (deceased) "Shipping Agent". The witnesses were Arthur Berry and Charlotte McWha. The couple would have four children between 1898 and 1909. Daniel and Florence were enumerated in the 1901 census [8] residing at 52 Habord Street, Edge Hill (Liverpool) with two children. Daniel's occupation "Soap Agent".
Daniel passed away in 1911. [9] his death was registered in the first quarter in Birkenhead, Cheshire. He was buried on February 27th in Liverpool at Anfield Cemetery, Section 3 Grave 1422. [10] He was thirty eight.
