Biography

This profile is part of the Watten, Caithness One Place Study.
Margaret Begg is a member of Clan MacDonald.

Margaret "Beg", daughter of Peter Begg and Catharen Smith, was born about 1822 and baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 26 April 1822.[1]

Peter and Catharen had a daughter called Margaret who was baptised in 1828 and led a documented life thereafter - it is reasonable to assume, therefore, that this child was the first by the name Margaret and died in infancy.
