Biography
Sarah (Andrews) Denis was born in Ireland.
Sarah Andrews was born in about 1775. She was the daughter of John Andrews and Ann Jones.
She married Humphry Denis in 1801 in Killaloe, County Clare, Ireland, by Licence[1].
They had at least two sons, and one daughter (b. Nov 1804).
Her husband Lieutenant-Colonel Humphry Denis passed away in November 1829.
She lived at Fairbrook House, Rathfarnham, county Dublin.
Sarah Denis passed away on 30 November 1860 and was buried at Mt Jerome Cemetery and Crematorium, Harold's Cross, Dublin[2]. Notice of her death was printed on page 2 of the Cork Examiner dated 5 December 1860:
- DEATHS.
- November 30, at Fairbrook House, Rathfarnham, in the eighty fifth year of her age, Sarah, relict of Col. Denis, of Waterford.[3]
