Sarah (Denis) Elliott was born in Ireland.
Sarah Anna Maria Denis was born in about 1805. She was the youngest daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Humphry Denis and Sarah Andrews.
Her father Humphry died on 3 November 1829 at about age 69.
She married Edward Elliott on 5 November 1835 at the Waterford Cathedral in county Waterford, notice of their marriage being printed in the Dublin Observer dated 14 November 1835, page 12:
- MARRIED.
- November 5, at the cathedral, Waterford, Edward Elliott, jun., Esq., to Sarah Anna Maria, youngest daughter Lieutenant-Colonel Denis, late of Waterford.[1]
They had a daughter born on 17 March 1838, who may have died young.
Her husband Edward died on 8 March 1866.
Sarah Anna Maria Elliott passed away on 14 December 1883, aged 78, due to Old Age and Debility, and Cardiac Syncope[2]. Mary Butler was the informant, present at death. Probate of her Will was granted on 8 January 1884 to her unmarried niece Marianne Victoria Denis, the sole Executrix[3]. Effects: £601 8s. 3d.
