Hello,

My name is Cody, 34 Male Seattle. My father was adopted when he was 5 years old, so I've always been interested to learn more about his birth family. I hope I can find something here. I have some birth\death certificates and newspaper articles. I figure that will be some good concrete information to add to the database.

It may help if you add adoption to the tags on your post. There are WikiTreers who love working on adoptions and finding birth parents. I'm sure they'd love to help you.

G'Day Cody, welcome, I believe the best way to see if anyone has information to assist you would be to put what you know into the tree, Your father's natural grandparents may be on the tree. Lets hope you have good luck.

 Because of Wikitree I have found at least 6 cousins  and we feel connected to each other, like  family.

Welcome to WikiTree Cody - glad to have you join us.  In looking at your profile I see that your Volunteer status is still pending, likely due to a delay of a few days lapse is signing up and volunteering.  If you add a Greeters tag to your question above it will flag someone to confirm you and then you will be able to add profiles for your family

Maximum number of tags on a question is 6, so he will have to decide which one he wants to delete if we are going to add the Greeters tag. (As I discovered when I tried to add it.)

Hi Cody,

There is a methodology to the manner that information should be added for a profile who was adopted.  It should be uniform for every adoptee in order for WikiTree to work the way it is supposed to; that is one profile for every individual in order to have One Great Human Family Tree.
