New member introducing myself

Good evening,

My name is Gregor McIntyre.  I'm researching my family tree and I've just discovered this page so I hope in time that I may discover relatives/ancestors and hopefully knock down a brick wall that has been frustrating me for a wee while now.

For now I am just introducing myself and briefly state that the brick wall - George McIntyre 1780 ... that's all I have, that and his wife is Elizabeth Lindsay.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated

With a name like Gregor you must be a Clan Gregor Gregorach ? 

I am myself descended from clan Gregor folk (two different lineages),

Regarding my name, I'm not aware of any links to the Clan Gregor.  My clan is McIntyre / MacIntyre (full name is Gregor Duncan McIntyre)
