Changing Gender for Y-DNA Family Project

I was asked to join as part of the Campbell Family project.  This project is based on Y-DNA.  My first cousin, who is male, tested for the project but I manage the interaction for him with the project because he is elderly and in poor health.  They told me to create the profile myself but upload his DNA to interact with the project group.  When I try, it tells me I have to be listed as a male.  Is it possible to change the gender once I attach the DNA results?  Is this going to cause problems for whomever monitors?

DNA test information should only be connected to the applicable profiles. So you should create a profile for your cousin (if there is not already one) and invite him to join WikiTree, where he can then connect his DNA test information. You can assist him through this process as needed.

But you should never connect another person's DNA test information to your own profile - that will wreak havoc on other profiles and other members using DNA features.
