Biography
Born in Kentucky, Lydia Jane Yoakum migrated to Mississippi with her family. She married Mark Dees, marrying in Tippah County, Mississippi, where they made their home.[1] Their children included:
Isabella Dees (1825-)
Caroline Dees (1826-)
Polly Dees (1830-)
Nancy Dees (1833-)
Mark Dees (1839-)
Elizabeth Dees (1840-)
Missouri Dees (1845-)
In 1860, they were enumerated in the Southern Subdivision of Tippah County.[2] In 1870, that area was enumerated at Township 4 in Range 5.[3]
