Prior to the adoption of Hangul as the national script of Korea in 1894, aristocrats & the royalty almost entirely used the Chinese-based Hanja script. As such, the LNAB of this profile & the rest of the Yi House prior to that time should definitely be rendered as 李. 이, the Hangul rendering, can be CLN or OLN. These have a numbe of transliterations, including Yi, but simply "I" is the most standard.

His given name at birth was 命福 (Myŏngbok), rendered in Hangul as 명복.
