Rashidi Yekini was a Nigerian professional footballer who played as a forward for seven different countries. He represented Nigeria in seven major tournaments, including two World Cups where he scored the country's first-ever goal in the competition. He is Nigeria's all-time top goal-scorer. He was named the African Footballer of the Year in 1993.[1]
Rashidi Yekini was born on 23 Oct 1963 in Kaduna, Nigeria. He was of Yoruba origin.[1]
He married three women, and had three daughters, Yemisi, Omoyemi and Damilola.[1]
