Robina Yates was born on May 17, 1850 in Milton, Shefford, Canada East, daughter of Erastus Yates (1811–1878) and Rachel Martindale (~1815–1872).
Robina died about October 15, 1896 in Ustick, Whiteside, Illinois, United States, aged about 46. She was buried in Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, Illinois [1].

The gravestone photo provides insufficient clarity whether she passed in 1886 or 1896.
