Biography
Sarah Jane Yates was the daughter of Joseph Brook Yates and ? Bostock nee Ashton. She had several siblings.
In 1859 Samuel Fielden (43) and Sarah Jane Yates (40) were married at the Childwell Church, Liverpool.
She opened a small school in Todmorden that gained a high reputation before establishing Centre Vale School, which took in its first pupils in March 1872.

In 1910 Sarah Jane Fielden (nee Yates) died at Centre Vale Mansion aged 90.[1]
