William Wynne was born in July 1692 probably at London He was the son of Owen Wynne and Dorothy Luttrell. He married Grace Brydges on 30 May 1728 at Westonzoyland,Somerset They had 6 sons and 2 daughters He died on 16 May 1765 aged 72 And was buried In Westminster,

Only serving son of Owen Wynne L.L.D, by Dorothy his wife (buried 1724) He was baptised at St Margaret's Westminster 7 July 1692. He Matriculated at Oxford from Jesus College, 23 Jan 1708-09 and was B.A. 14 Oct 1712 and M.A. 24 May 1723. He became a barrister-at-law ,of the Middle Temple, and was advanced to the dignity of a Serjeant-at-law 17 May 1735 He died according to the Funeral Book ,16 May aged 72 See Burials of his wife 1779 and sons 1736-7, 1785, 1814, and his sisters 1734 and 1735

His writings included Observations Touching the Dignity and Antiquity of the Degree of Serjeant at Law (1756) (Written at a time when the position of the serjeants in the Court of Common Pleas was under threat) and The Life of Sir Leoline Jenkins (1724) using papers inherited from his father. He died on 16 May 1765 and was Buried in Westminster Abbey seven days later.
