:: Adding a middle name to a man born before 1800 needs clear documentation.
"William Wyatt, Jr. lived in Prince William County, Virginia. He was a planter and a member of the vestry of Dettingen Episcopal Church. He enlisted as a private soldier in the American Revolution, February 13, 1778 in Capt. Henry Fauntleroy's Co. of the 5th Virginia Regiment and later transferring to Lt. Bartley's Co. In 1779 he again enlisted in Capt. John Anderson's Company, in the 9th Virginia Regiment. From 1788 to 1792, William lived in South Carolina near the present Greenville Presbyterian Church but returned to Virginia. William was married twice, 1st to Frances Newton & 2nd to Elizabeth Snoe.
He died in Fairfax County, Virginia but I have found info that he was buried at Dettingen Episcopal Church Cemetery in Gloucaster County, Virginia. This church and cemetery no longer exist. A memorial headstone was placed at Greenville Presyterian Church during the 1960's during a Wyatt Family Reunion."
He is mentioned as helping to survey property in Prince William County, Virginia Deed Book W, 1784-1787, pp 315-316.
