Research Notes

This branch of the Wright family apparently owned a property called the Moat House, and later Brook Hall. He was not a Knight, not an Esquire and not a Gentleman, which I have removed.

"The Moat House hotel, London Road, was known as the Place in 1514, when it may have been connected with the manor of Ropers, and later as Brook Hall. The Wright family held it from the 16th century until 1721. (fn. 41) In 1788 it was a freehold of South Weald manor, with 58 a. of land" [2]

He is mentioned in the history of his father at This Link.

This Page is noted as the source for his vital data on his Findagrave site, however there is no mention of him on this page.

Alternate death: Thomas died BEF 17 NOV 1602/3 in Essex County, England ast stated on Findagrave. (unsourced)[1]
