Allen Woods was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1767. He came to this country as a young boy and his family located in Washington County, PA - Cross Creek. He married Hannah Galbraith there @ 1790. About 1794 He moved with his family and his brother Samuel to Harrison County KY using Zane's Trace. There is a deed record for him at Cynthiana, KY. The family moved across the Ohio river to Brown County, Ohio in 1808. He died in Clermont County in 1862. He was buried at the family farm at Straight Creek, Brown Co, OH.
