I've previously posted my family tree at Ancestry. Here's the profile I gave them. believe it still expresses what I believe about genealogy.
I'm delighted to correspond with people about families we share an interest in. Do contact me with new information, questions, agreements, disagreements. So far as I am concerned, it is shared effort that moves us on in our research. "
I started seriously pursing my family history shortly after the death of my mother (1995) when my siblings appointed me the family historian. In the years since I've learned more about American history than I ever did in school and a great deal about doing good research.
This year (2020) is very frustrating. There are a number of records I'd like to be looking at that just aren't available over the internet. I'm hoping I'm still around when the pandemic is over - I'm assembling quite a list.
I am working on a family DNA profile and would enjoy hearing from anyone who shares a DNA match with me.

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

How are things going? Do you have any questions?
As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!
There is a great question to review on G2G regarding duplicate profiles and merges. See: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/51703/behind-merges-identifying-lowest-numbered-profile-correct
Also, a great place to ask specific question is on G2G. Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic. I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions! Nae
You may want to check out How to use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.
We also have a help index, which lists all our help pages. And there's also the G2G forum, where our generous members are happy to answer questions.
And of course I'm here to help; just ask!
