Jane was born about 1836. She is the daughter of James Woods and Sarah Ballantyne.

In 1851 the Woods family lived Mullalelish, Kilmore Parish, Oneilland West Barony, County Armagh, Ireland. Parents James Woods & Sarah Woods (nee Ballantyne) and children John (21), Andrew (18), Jane (15), James William (12), Isaac (4) & Martha (8) [1]

Jane Woods married William Brann on 10 September 1857 at the Ahorey Presbyterian Church, Ahorey, Kilmore, Oneilland West, Armagh, Ireland. Fathers James Woods & William Brann. [2]

On 31 March 1901 the Brann & Hamilton family lived in Ravenscroft Avenue, Pottinger, County Down. Widow Jane, aged 64, Head of House, Mother, Presbyterian, living with son, Rev William Brann (35) and son-in-law; Alexander Hamilton (31) & wife Martha Hamilton (26). [3]

On 2 April 1911 the Brann family lived in Ballyeaston, Ballyclare, Antrim.Willliam Brann (45) Presbyterian Minister & Francesca Brann (36) with Eileen Dorothea Brann (6), Mabel Francesca Brann (4), Edith Margaret Brann (1) and Jane Brann (75) with servant Agnes Hillis (24) General Servant Domestic. [4] All Presbyterian

Jane passed away in 1913, aged 76. [5] [6][7]

Probate of the Will of Jane Brann late of Ballyeaston Co. Antrim Widow who died 1 January 1913 granted at Belfast to The Reverend William Brann (son) Presbyterian Minister & Hugh Andrews Skillen N.S. Teacher[8][9]
