An account of the birth of Jonathan Wood & Mary his wife and their children are as followeth:

Jonathan Wood was born 8th Mo 24 17[], Mary Wood was born 8th Mo 11 1772, Their Children Eliza Wood born the 2 Mo 2th 1799, Mehitable Wood born 1 Mo 4th 1801, Edith Wood born 8 Mo 25th 1802, Jonathan Wood born 5 Mo 12th 1813, David Wood born 4 Mo 25th 1815.

On 25 October 1802 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold a farm consisting of two lots to Abner Potter for 1700 dollars.

On 26 January 1804 Jonathan Wood repurchased one of the above lots of 37 acres from Abner Potter for 600 dollars.

On 1808 Jonathan Wood purchased a farm containing 4 acres and buildings from Joseph Estes for 450 dollars with the stipulation that Joseph Estes or his heirs could repurchase it with interest within two years.

On 27 April 1813 Jonathan Wood sold Ebenezer Allen half of lot of salt marsh containing one and a half acre on south side of Allens Pond for 10 dollars.


On 10 April 1827 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold their homestead farm in Dartmouth containing 70 acres of land to Josiah Sherman for 2000 dollars.

On 5 May 1827 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold 37 acres of land in Dartmouth to Osman Wood for 576 dollars.

On 4 June 1827 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold 12 acres of land in Dartmouth to Allen Howland for 285 dollars.

Moved to New York between these dates.

27 July 1827 Jonathan Wood of the town of Dartmouth County of Bristol and state of Massachusetts purchased 125 acres of land in town of Granville County of Washington and state of New York from Christopher and Mary Dean for 2850 dollars.

On 26 September 1829 Jonathan Wood purchased the adjoining 65 acres in Granville from Winslow and Sally Marchant for 1600 dollars.

On 15 August 1827 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold 2 acres of land to the Dartmouth Monthly Meeting for 168 dollars.

On 13 September 1827 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold 5 acres of land to the Dartmouth Monthly Meeting for 100 dollars.

On 27 October 1829 Jonathan and Mary Wood sold 6 acres of land in Dartmouth to John Cummings and Benjamin Cummings Jr for 90 dollars.

On 15 April 1837 Jonathan Wood purchased 113 acres of land in Granville from Edwin and Cynthia Mabbet for 3200 dollars
