Biography
Harriet Elizabeth "Elizabeth" Wing was born in 1865 in Navenby, Lincolnshire, England to John Wing and Sarah (Antcliffe) Wing. Her birth was registered in Lincoln, Lincolnshire in the first quarter of the year, with her mother's maiden name recorded as Antcliffe.[1]
Harriet Wing, daughter of John & Sarah, was christened on 12 Feb 1865 in Navenby.[2][3]
In 1871 Harriet J[E] Wing (age 6, Scholar) lived in Navenby with her father John (34, Ag Labourer), mother Sarah (33), and seven siblings: John H (12, Scholar), Anthony W (11, Scholar), George (7, Scholar), Walter J (4, Scholar), Minnie M (3), Mary A (2), and Arthur (1).[4]

Elizabeth had a daughter out of wedlock:

Harriet Elizabeth Wing married William Edward Johnson in 1887 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.[5]
Elizabeth and William had four children:
- John Edwin "Edwin" Johnson (1888-)
- William Henry Johnson (1890-)
- Alice Annie Mabel "Mabel" Johnson (1892-)
- Albert Johnson (1894-)
In 1891 Elizabeth Johnson (age 25) lived in Worksop, Nottinghamshire with her husband William (28, House Painter) and two sons: Edward[Edwin] (3) and William (0).[6] Elizabeth's daughter Daisey (6, Scholar) was living in Navenby with Elizabeth's parents - she was listed as their daughter rather than granddaughter.
In 1901 Elizabeth Johnson (age 37) lived at Bridge Street in Worksop with her husband William (39, House Painter) and four children: Edwin (13), William (12), Mabel (9), and Albert (7), as well as two boarders: William T Widdowson (31, Labourer At Coal Mine) and John Rawlinson (22, Coal Mine Filler).[7] Elizabeth's daughter Harriet D Wing (17) lived in Navenby with Elizabeth's married sister Mary A Donson (31) and her husband.
Elizabeth's husband passed away in 1904.
In 1911 Elizabeth Johnson (age 45, Charwoman) lived in Worksop with three of her children: Edward[Edwin] (23, Coal Miner Trammer Below Ground), Mabel (18, General Servant Domestic), and Albert (16, Whitesmith Ironmonger), as well as her brother-in-law Joseph Johnson (33, Colliery Labourer Above Ground) and boarder Albert Greatorex (25, Colliery Labourer Above Ground).[8]
