John Wing, son of Anthony & Elizabeth, was christened on 28 Aug 1836 in Navenby.[1][2]
In 1841 John Wing (age 4) lived in Navenby with his father Anthony (45-49), mother Elizabeth (40-44), and three siblings: Anthony (9), William (7), and Mary (0).[3]
In 1851 John Wing (age 14, Scholar) lived in Navenby with his father Anthony (56, Shepherd), mother Elizabeth (52), and sister Mary (7, Scholar).[4]
John Wing married Sarah Antcliffe in 1859. The marriage was registered in Southwell, Nottinghamshire in the second quarter of the year.[5]
In 1861 John Wing (age 24, Shoe Maker) lived at Crab Lane in North Muskham, Nottinghamshire with his wife Sarah (23) and two sons: John (1) and Anthony (0) - they were staying with Sarah's parents, Richard Antcliff (54, Agricultural Labourer) and Maria Antcliff (57), along with two of her younger siblings.[6]
In 1871 John Wing (age 34, Ag Labourer) lived in Navenby with his wife Sarah (33) and eight children: John H (12, Scholar), Anthony W (11, Scholar), George (7, Scholar), Harriet J[E] (6, Scholar), Walter J (4, Scholar), Minnie M (3), Mary A (2), and Arthur (1).[7]
In 1881 John Wing (age 45, Shepherd) lived in Navenby with his wife Sarah (43) and four sons: Walter (14, Ag Labourer), Arthur (10, Scholar), Herbert (6, Scholar), and Robert (4, Scholar).[8] Their son Frederick (8, Scholar) was a visitor in Carlton-le-Moorland, Lincolnshire in the household of William Bradley (32, Ag Lab) and Mary Bradley (32).
In 1891 John Wing (age 56, Shepherd) lived in Navenby with his wife Sarah (54) and three children: Mary (21), Herbert (16, Agricultural Labourer), and Robert (14, Agricultural Labourer), as well as granddaughter [listed as another daughter] Daisey (6, Scholar).[9]
John's wife passed away in 1896.
John Wing (widower, son of Anthony Wing) and Ellen Wildy (spinster, daughter of Thomas Wildy) were married on 9 Feb 1899 in Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire.[10][11] The marriage was registered in Lincoln, Lincolnshire in the first quarter of the year.[12]
In 1901 John Wing (age 64, Shepherd On Farm) lived at Village Street in Boothby Graffoe with his wife Ellen (35).[13]
John Wing, aged 71 years, was buried in Navenby on 25 Feb 1907.[14][15] His death was registered in Lincoln in the first quarter of the year.[16]
