Biography
Birth
- No record has been found of the birth of Obed Wing. Based on the date of birth of his first known child in 1781 and his military service in 1775, 1755 is a reasonable estimate for his birth date. He was the son of Joseph Wing and Mehitable (Hatch) Wing, and he was probably born in that part of Sandwich, Massachusetts, known as Pocasset.[1]
Marriage
- Obed Wing married Deliverance Wing. Their first known child was born at Sandwich, Massachusetts, on 24 Jul 1781.[1]
Death
- Obed Wing died between 14 Feb 1789 and 30 Mar 1789, probably at Sandwich, Massachusetts.[1]
