• brother Joseph C Wilson (aged 16) , a brush maker
• sister Jessie P Wilson (aged 5) , at school
• sister Jane C Wilson (aged 2)

  • Jane H Wilson is the illegitimate daughter of Helen Mary Wilson, who at the time of the 1871 Census is living in Govan with husband William Saunders. Helen appears to have abandoned her daughter to her parents.

1875 - Death of Mother: Newmills Road, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland (Aged 12 years) [7]
Elizabeth's mother Christian Penman died on Tuesday, 23rd March 1875 at at the age of 46 from typhus fever. When Christina, married to Joseph Wilson, journeyman baker died her usual residence was 178 High Street Dalkeith. Christina's death was reported by son James Wilson , of 178 High Street, Dalkieth, on March 23rd at Dalkeith.

1876 - Marriage of Brother: Gartocharn, Kilmarnock, Dunbartonshire, Scotland (Aged 14 years) [8]
Elizabeth's brother Thomas Wilson married 25 year old Jane McLaren, a spinster and domestic servant of Gartocharn, Kilmarnock on Monday, 26th June 1876 after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. Jane was the daughter of Robert McLaren, shoemaker, and Christina McLaren(nee Carmichael). When Thomas married he was living at 207 Main Street, Bonhill and his occupation was blacksmith. The marriage was registered on 26th June at Kilmarnock. Witnesses were William Stevenson and Mary McLaren.

1878 - Marriage of Brother: Yetholm, Roxburghshire, Scotland (Aged 16 years) [9]
Elizabeth's brother James Penman Wilson married 26 year old Jane Lamb, a spinster and domestic servant of Yetholm on Thursday, 21st November 1878 after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. Jane was the daughter of Alexander Lamb, agricultural labourer, and Jane Lamb(nee Cockburn). When James married his occupation was baker (journeyman). The marriage was registered on 30th December at Yetholm. Witnesses were William Wilson and Mary Lamb.

1881 - Census: High Street, Penicuik, Midlothian, Scotland (Aged 18 years) [10]
When the census was taken on Sunday, 3rd April 1881 was a live in general servant in the household of Jane Symington. Other members of Jane Symington's family living in the household were:
• son James Symington, aged 26, a merchant
• daughter Jane Symington, aged 25
• daughter Henrietta Symington, aged 21
• son William Symington, aged 15, at school
• son Charles HT Symington, aged 13, at school

Elizabeth married 28 year old John Anderson, a bachelor and private, Royal Marines of 84 Canongate on Friday, 22nd September 1882 after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. John was the son of John Anderson, brass finisher, and Ann Anderson(nee Somerville). When Elizabeth married she was living at 84 Canongate and her occupation was domestic servant. The marriage was registered on 24th September at Edinburgh. Witnesses were J Corvan and Elizabeth Shaw.
  • The witness Elizabeth Shaw is possibly the sister of Mary Shaw wife of James Whitton.

1886 - Marriage of Sister: 32 Randon Street, Bonhill, Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, Scotland (Aged 24 years) [12]
Elizabeth's sister Jessie Penman Wilson married 23 year old James Campbell, a bachelor and cook of Balloch, Bonhill on Wednesday, 28th April 1886 after banns according to the forms of the United Presbyterian Church. James was the son of Walter Campbell (deceased), carter, and Charlotte Campbell (deceased)(nee Barclay). When Jessie married she was living at 32 Random Street and her occupation was printfield hand. The marriage was registered on 30th April at Bonhill. Witnesses were Robert Freeman and Mary Henderson.

1887 - Marriage of Brother: Stoke Damerel, Devon, England (Aged 24 years) [13][14]
Elizabeth's brother Joseph Collingwood Wilson married 48 year old Priscilla Fairbridge Eastlake (nee Kessell) , a widow of 47 Duke Street at Stoke Damerel after banns according to the rites and ceremonies of the Established Church. Priscilla was the daughter of Solomon Kessell, carpenter. When Joseph married he was living at HMS Adelaide and his occupation was seaman. Witnesses were Charles Riddle , Elizabeth Riddle.

1891 - Marriage of Sister: Register Office, Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England (Aged 28 years) [15]
Elizabeth was a witness when sister Jane Collingwood Wilson married 27 year old William Hinshelwood, a bachelor and labourer of 14 Carr Street, Newcastle at Register Office by certificate. William was the son of Robert Hinshelwood, gardener, and Janet Messer. When Jane married she was living at 82 Blenheim Street, Newcastle.

1906 - Death of Father: Gas Works Row, Arniston Engine, Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland (Aged 43 years) [18]
Elizabeth's father Joseph Wilson died on Friday, 23rd February 1906 at at the age of 86 from old age. When Joseph, widower of 1. Jane Connor, 2 Christina Penman, died his occupation was pauper (former baker). Elizabeth, who was present at time of death, reported the death on 24th February at Stobhill.

Elizabeth was a witness when sister Jane Collingwood Wilson marries for a 2nd time to 32 year old John Philip, a bachelor and coal miner of Arniston Engine on Friday, 1st November 1907 after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. John was the son of John Philip, coal miner, and Joanna Philip(nee Sharp). When Jane married her was living at Arniston Engine. The marriage was registered on 4th November at Stobhill. The other witness was son John J Anderson.
  • The witnesses are Jane's sister Elizabeth and her husband John Anderson.

1909 - Death of Husband: Newcraighall Colliery, Newcraighall, Midlothian, Scotland (Aged 46 years) [21][22]
Elizabeth's 1st husband John Anderson died on Friday, 9th April 1909 at at the age of 53 from killed by being injured with wagons. When John, married to Elizabeth Collingwood Wilson, died his occupation was labourer. John's death was reported by son John Anderson on 22 April at Newcraighall.
  • John's death was subject to a precognition and an entry in the register of corrected entries. His cause of death was being crushed between two railway wagons at Newcraighall Colliery.

1910 - Marriage: St James Church, Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland (Aged 48 years) [23]
Elizabeth marries for a 2nd time to 47 year old Henry James Perfect, a widower and rope spinner of Queens Street, Leith on Tuesday, 14th June 1910 after publication according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. Henry was the son of William Perfect (deceased), brushmaker, and Caroline Perfect(nee Harrison). When Elizabeth married her was living at Qieens Street, Leith. The marriage was registered on 16th June at Leith.

When the census was taken on Sunday, 2nd April 1911 Elizabeth was living with 2nd husband Henry Perfect, aged 48, a rope spinner and:
• son Alexander Perfect, aged 17, a labourer
• daughter Elizabeth Perfect, aged 8, at school
• daughter Janet Perfect, aged 5, at school
• nephew Joseph Wilson, aged 14, a news boy

1921 - Elizabeth's Death: Royal Infirmary, Lauriston Place, Edinburgh, Scotland [25]
Elizabeth Collingwood Wilson died on Friday, 1st July 1921 at at the age of 59 from malignant disease of uterus. When Elizabeth, married to i) Joseph Anderson, coal miner ii) Henry James Perfect, boiler foreman died her usual residence was 6 Roslin Glen, Roslin. Elizabeth's death was reported by daughter M Smith , of 242 Leith Walk, Leith, Edinburgh, on 4th July 1921 at Edinburgh.
