Biography

Johanna Maria was born in Aliwal North on 19 October 1850; she was the daughter of Louwrens Jacobus Wepener and Hilletje Maria Levina (van Aardt) Wepener.

She was 24 years old when she married 33-year-old twice widowed JJacobus Stephanus de Wet in Aliwal North on 11 November 1874. [1][2]

She was 30 years old when she passed away at 'Vaalkop' near Aliwal North on 16 August 1880.[3]
