Josiah Weed was born on 28 Jan 1754 in Stamford, Connecticut to parents Josiah Weed and Abigail Bouton. He married Sarah Seeley on 18 Jan 1776 in Darien, Connecticut. Children: Rhoda, Anne, Mercy Nancy, Lucretia, Linus, Limas, Lewis, son, Eliaphet, Sally, Lewis. He died on 21 May 1812 in New Canaan, Connecticut. He is buried in the Weed Cemetery in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Josiah served in the Revolutionary War as a private and corporal from 1777 to 1781.
