I'm a volunteer greeter, here to answer your questions about WikiTree.

Our New Member How-To pages can help you get started adding profiles or just learning your way around.

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.

Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun!

P.S. One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Hi Karen, Thanks it didn't take long for me to need help :-). I entered my father who is Ronald Chase MacNab, I am Ronald Frederick MacNab. I got the following notice, and my father doesn't appear on my tree in the "father" location.

"Ronald MacNab is an active member of WikiTree who has signed the Honor Code but this profile is Unlisted. Please change the privacy setting to Private. See Unlisted Active Members for more information or the page on Closing an Account."

I don't know what happened, and what I should do. Thanks Ron
